I Can Haz Search

Another sneaky feature appears on Plurk.com today; it’s time to search! Yes, Plurk now has a search utility which allows users to search their own timelines, other people’s Plurks and for other humans in Plurkistan. It’s a tiny icon located on the lower right hand corner of your timeline.

Thank you to @Plurfekt for the search tip-off. Reading through the conversation thread, there is some contention over the functionality of the feature so I gave it a few entries, most notably were keywords related to food since eating is a hot-bed of conversation in Plurk. The return search kept coming back only showing 100 Plurk results. Curious, I decided to put in the verb “says” and what to my wandering eyes would appear but a result of 100.

That can’t be right! With thousands of Plurkers using the service every day, those numbers don’t add up. I chalk it up to the soft release of the feature and assume they will super charge the utility in the future. In the meantime, get thee to searching. It’s fun, free and taste yummy!
