Interesting Plurkers Just Got Interesting!
Just checked the interesting plurkers to see what was up and wow; it just got really interesting!
I haven’t been there in a while so I’m not even really sure what it was like previously but I remember something about people from your country showing up. Either way just checked it out and it now has additional categories beside just the top plurkers by karma. It has ~50 most viewed profiles, ~50 most followed members, new members and of course random members.
I think the new setup is pretty cool and a great way to meet new people and well meet more “interesting plurkers”.
Nice work plurk.
Stay tuned for more things plurk,
- Rob

EDIT: Looks like I made this post just a bit early. Just today when I checked it it has a NEW symbol next to Interesting Plurkers and well it’s changed even more. Cool how it has most recent plurks and most responded. The most responded never loaded for me but I’m curious to see what plurks they are. Is it most replied to ever? this week? this month?…

I always check it at least 3-4 times a day. Its always interesting to find a new person or two that way.
I like it too. thanks for the post
veronicaromm’s last blog post..Tennis upsets at the Olympics. YES!
I still don’t like it, as the first two pages Most Viewed and Most Followed are populated with people like Robert Scoble, and Leo Laporte who have ditched plurk. While I like the new categories, I think the new or random tag should be the front one, as undoubtedly Scoble and others continue to get followers based on their position on the page
BCK’s last blog post..Twitter Spam. Wait? What?!
i like bck’s post. newbies visiting “most followed” or “viewed” pages first might be a little intimidated trying to compare their simple start pages and plurks to those of very active and experienced users, and they might find it easier to find fellow noobs if the categories were reversed (so they can get to know others who are in the same categories). then if they really want to find bigger fish, they can go to the popular blogs. as it is now, the “big fish” probably are going to be a bit too busy to really notice noobs anyway, so why send them there?
however, on the flip side, plurk may be encouraging users to plurk more so they can be on the “popular kids’ pages” someday too, which is a guaranteed “automatic friend-maker” because everyone wants to be associated with the “in crowd.” but again, noobs will still just be ignored unless they’re somehow exceptional or get a big intro from someone well-known here.
and i can be 100% objective because i’m nowhere on ANY of these lists! ha ha.
cheers,
caile~

Dang rob, you work fast. I mean I thought I was pretty quick with posts about new features, but you take the cake. (g_lol)
