@thecolor Hopefully they’ll have it resolved soon it’s definitely “limiting the experience” arguably more then the occasional downtime.

@thegypsy I didn’t even think of the cliques hopefully they’ll get it fixed soon and if your chilling in forums come swing by and say hi ;). Note to self: I need to start hanging in forums more often.

@Jill @thecolor another thing is if you miss the private plurk on the timeline you may miss it and the person interpret that as a snub.

@Jill this is clean yes, but the ability to isolate private plurks allows one to find them much quicker. ’specially if you have to wade through all your friends. No?

As you know, private plurks can still be made, and they will appear on the timeline alongside public plurks. I actually prefer this setup as I always thought that clicking the “private” tab was an unnecessary step. I like seeing all plurks on one timeline.

Plurk’s fixes for performance last week have been excellent. A week ago Karma Medic would see many HTTP 504 and Denied errors. But lately, Plurk’s been perfectly responsive to the API calls. (Scroll down to see older the problems.)

I’m also trying to get them to fire off support for Conditional GETs and HTTP 304s for their feeds. That should lighten some load, too.

Well… having private plurks also means having the ability to segment via cliques… without it we have nothing more than a scrolling Twitter… oh wait, I can PM in Twitter…. sorry… maybe we’re slipping past that then.

Karma had already been irritating enough..without private plurks (aka Cliques) I have started hanging on forums again more (and Twitter for microblogging)… Each passing week I seem to plurk less unfortunately…sigh….

What’s going to suck is that (you mention “it’s summer”), well, as the days grow darker and people stay in doors more, private plurks may have mcuh desire! Also, I noticed and mentioned it long before nethead mentioned it, it’s just he has a larger following, so it’s like god mentioned it, despite the little people.
